Failed stucco was restored back to sound stucco and damaged clay bricks were removed and replaced with salvaged replacements. New downspouts were installed to direct water past the outer wall.
We are restoring elements of the roof, the exterior envelope and front porch, windows and doors, as well as the first floor's Council Chambers and dining room.
THE ATHENAEUM OF OHIO
Durable Restoration used granite stones to repair to match the same pattern that was used in 1851 to construct the exterior walls of the seminary building.

Our historic masons removed the displaced brick and mortar that was over the center arch and replaced it with salvaged brick and applied matching mortar within the mortar joints.

Our crews completed structural stabilization of the arch and wood replacement to the water-damaged area, connected to one of the concrete columns.

For this project, The Durable Slate Company was called in to perform gutter repair around the perimeter of the building.
The steel structural support of Union Terminal began to rust, pushing the bricks out of the structure. Durable Restoration restoring the damaged brick to replicate the original façade.
MARYLAND HISTORIC TRUST
Our scope of work included repairing the building's skylight, installing mirror-coated glass panels, and replicating upper vent caps and seam caps over glass rails in copper.
