 full service,  historic restoration general contractor, The Durable Restoration Company performs complete interior and exterior restoration work on all types of older buildings, including residences, commercial and institutional buildings, and liturgical structures.  Our company employs artisans who are expert in more than twenty traditional, old world crafts.
Due to settling of the structure which had occurred over time, the windows of the south face of the building needed considerable restoration work. Shown in this photo is one step of that work. Steve White, one of Durable Restoration’s carpenters, is measuring a sheet of terne-coated steel in order to clad the exterior sills of the windows. The restoration of the windows proceeded from the east sleeping porch around to the front of the house and over to the other sleeping porch.

Our specialty contracting work may utilize just one or two of these crafts or combine as many as required, depending on the needs of the building and building owner. General contracting work includes complete building restoration, historic building rehabilitation, reconstruction and adaptive re-use.

Durable is experienced in working from architects’ plans as well as on a design/build basis. We also offer consultation, assessment and project management services.
